Peter Crysdale | Founder/CEO of StrategyHack & Startup Grind NY Chapter President

Peter is the Founder/CEO of StrategyHack, running marketing strategy hackathons for startups and professional marketers. He has a diverse background with 8+ years experience spanning engineering, social good and technology startups. Recently mentioned on Inc.com discussing the value of networking, Peter brings a breadth of experience to StrategyHack, from his background in engineering, to his 3 years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Burkina Faso. He has served as COO of Evivio (social media software) and as CEO of The Green Economy. In his spare time, he enjoys day dreaming and cross country skiing.

Maia T. Spilman, Esq. | Information Privacy and Intellectual Property Attorney

Maia is an Information Privacy and Intellectual Property Attorney.  She helps companies understand the data they handle, how that information may be used and what obligations may surround the particular data.

Maia works with companies in the pharmaceutical, technology and entertainment industries.  As a transactional attorney, she structures and negotiates all types of agreements.  A seasoned attorney, Maia has had her own practice for over a decade, has worked as in-house counsel with a variety of companies and enjoys a hybrid of working as an extension of her client’s legal team while maintaining the flexibility to work with different clients.

Maia is a member of the Information Technology Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association, serves on the Board of Directors of the Musicians Foundation and is the Regional Chapter Co-Chair of her law school’s New York chapter. 

She received her J.D. from Northeastern University in Boston, her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Fine Arts from Syracuse University and attended the High School of Music & Art in New York City (the “Fame” school).  Music, sailing, running and travel are among her passions.
